This is a painting of my wife, Norene, and me. We sat in front of a mirror to paint it. Norene has been my inspiration. She encouraged me to follow my art career long before I decided to start it. Each painting I do is because she wants me to do it. I love her.
You should see that the painting is very simply done with just shapes of colors and values which came together to form our portrait.

I love the use of color. If you look closely at the color use, in some places it is surprising, but yet it all works together to make a great portrait.

This is my favorite painting ever. I printed it off, put it in a frame and hung it in my bedroom.

Tom~This portrait of you and Norene is awesome. You spoke of a couple of things that were interesting but the thing that is my favorite in this piece is that you have staged Norene behind you, hand resting on your shoulder. This says a lot…it is a strong woman behind her man ~ I know Norene is lovely and just that!! Another great expression of your life, thank you!!

Now that’s cool! I can’t believe you can look in the mirror and paint your portraits – and they look like you! Love it!!
