This is one of my oldest oil paintings. It is of me with three of my children and three of their friends. We are wading in the ocean at San Diego, California. I want you to look at the two little girls at the far right and far left. I have not put much detail in their faces, yet your mind puts it in. Sometimes if you insist on putting in too much in the painting it will destroy the freshness of your work. Usually you will never see much more than this in real life.
These are my three kids now and their portrayal in the painting:

Such a sweet painting and a neat way to show your “little” kids along side their grown up pictures. The one of you is so good as well. I’m sure the Poulsons would enjoy reliving that great experience also. Do they have this picture? I’m so glad you recorded that fun experience for posterity.

I have always loved this painting. It is a great memory. The way you painted it makes it look like such a happy time.

Great place to paint! I love this painting. It reminds me of my happy childhood. I liked seeing the then-and-now of Sarah, Jennifer and Jared.

Tom I am just at amaze, what wonderful work. The kids on the beach. I can totally relate. I now live in Oregon and we are about an hour from the Ocean. And 15 minutes to the Columbia River. What a beautiful site. We spent many hours fishing, claming etc. on the water. We tell our children (3) that they were raised in or around the water. Great. I hope I can keep on viewing in the next months and days. Shawna
