Daphna

This is a portrait of Daphna. I painted it in a series of five sittings in the living room of her home. She is a down-to-earth, no nonsense type of woman. I wanted  to portray her strength and personal determination. The right side of her face is lit by the lamp on the glass table she is leaning on, giving a warm, yellowish glow. The left side is lit by natural light coming from a window. The natural light has a blue tint from the sky.
