This is a painting of a butterfly in my wildflower garden. The background is vague, placing the focus on the butterfly. The largest flowers appears to be closest, while the smallest feels furthest back. These techniques give the illusion of depth.

What a gorgeous painting! The flowers and butterfly are absolutely amazing!! You should sell prints because every woman I know will be wanting one of these.

I can’t believe how detailed this is. It’s great, Tom! (And, shhhh, but I’ll buy the first print. My wife would definitely want one of these!)

I just can’t quite believe that you painted this gorgeous floral/butterfly picture, but of course, you have that incredible talent and are certainly using it. The colors are so lovely and the butterfly is almost alive!
