I was taking my wife for a ride in the farm areas. There were a bunch of cows in a field. We pulled our car to the side of the road. I think they thought we were the zoo – they all walked together to stare at us.

Tom, you really make me laugh sometimes when you are describing your paintings. Looking at this picture takes me back to being on my grandparent’s farm. It is a comforting feeling. I love this Americana depiction.

Tom, just be careful where you step

Again, I have no idea how you can make cows look so authentically like cows! No easy trick!

This painting reminds me of the time I went hiking with my brother when I was a teenager. As we drove through the mountain roads toward the trail head we passes several herds of cows. We would stop and make mooing sounds. The cows would reply with their own noises. It was a great time. This painting somehow helped me to recapture those silly but fond memories.

You can almost see the cows saying, “Look at those weird people!” Very realistic-looking cows. Good title, too 🙂
